Surface transportation encompasses the intermodal transportation network across the United States.  These projects include bridges, highways, railways and waterways, and the landslide and earthquake hazards that impact these networks.

Foundation Engineering has been providing geotechnical consultation for transportation projects since our inception in 1982. Our staff have built a distinguished reputation for expertise in surface transportation related projects in Oregon and Washington.  Our résumé includes over 450 bridge projects including new structures and rehabilitation and seismic retrofit of existing structures.  We have also completed 200+ roadway projects, 100+ highway retaining wall projects, and 100+ landslides.  Most of these projects were completed by one of our current five expert project managers.  The same staff are available for the next transportation project.  Our staff experience, geotechnical expertise, and rapid response are highly regarded by our private clients, ODOT, and local agencies.
