Tim began his career working on the Glenwood Canyon Project in 1985. He mapped rock joints, logged borings and rock core for foundations and tunnels, inspected blasting and rock bolting, and began development of the software for rockfall simulation. He completed development of the Colorado Rockfall Simulation Program at the Colorado School of Mines.
Prior to starting with Foundation Engineering, Tim was a geotechnical team leader for the Oregon Department of Transportation for 5 years. Since 1996 his career with Foundation Engineering has included a wide variety of challenging geotechnical engineering projects, including the Portland CSO tunnels, water and wastewater projects, over 125 bridge projects and over 145 landslide investigations. Specialty areas include soil and rock slope stability and deep foundations. Tim has served as the Beaverton Group Manager since 2000.
