Foundation Engineering completed a geotechnical investigation of the Fibre Way Bridge in the Port of Longview industrial area of Cowlitz County, Washington. The purpose of the investigation was to observe the conditions below the distressed portion of the approach panel at the north abutment of the bridge and to provide an approach to the repair of the panel.
Linn County Road Department plans to replace the existing bridge crossing Crabtree Creek on Gilkey Road in Linn County. The replacement bridge will be a ±142‑foot long, single‑span, pre‑stressed concrete structure constructed slightly downstream (west) of the existing one.
The City of Drain plans to construct a new, $__M wastewater treatment plant immediately south of the existing facility on Division Avenue. Geotechnical services included; field exploration, settlement analyses, a seismic hazard study and preparation of geotechnical recommendations. Foundation Engineering also provided construction support services.
The City of Stayton recently completed an $11M expansion of its wastewater treatment facility located at the south end of Jeffers Way in Stayton, Oregon. The Priority I improvements requiring geotechnical expertise included a new maintenance building, a filter addition, and a new selector cell.
